Have you ever been browsing the World Wide Web and have a page up that you would love
to have as your start page? You know the page that always pops up when you start your browser. Or
you click the Home button on your toolbar and you go back to the first page that normally
comes up.
In your browser, in the
Address box, press and hold the little web page icon (to the left of your current
address URL),
and
drag it to the Home button on the toolbar.
When you let go, you will see a prompt that ask if you would like to make this your Start
page? Just answer Yes. The next time you start your browser you will have this
new home page.

When
searching for information on the Web go to the address text box, try
typing a question mark, a space and then the subject you are looking for. Then
press [ENTER]

To save
typing time and if you know the name of the site you want to go to,
try this:
In the address text box, remove the text (URL) that is there and type microsoft,
then press [CTRL + ENTER]
Or type IBM, then press [CTRL + ENTER]
Internet Explorer will add the www & com on to the word for you.
